Vassilis Chantziaras

Vassilis graduated from the University of Thessaly in Greece in 2010, followed by a surgical internship programme at the same institution. Since moving to the UK in 2012, he has undertaken several roles in small animal practice, including general practice, emergency/critical care and charity work.

In 2016 Vassilis completed a rotating internship at Willows. Since he had completed a postgraduate certificate in small animal surgery, he could perform a variety of soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures in dogs and cats before returning to Willows in summer 2019 to undertake residency training in small animal surgery. Vassilis has contributed to the veterinary literature by publishing articles on total hip replacement and urinary disorders in dogs, and he is actively involved in several ongoing research projects.

He enjoys spending time with his young family as a busy dad in his spare time.
