Giorgia Marchese

Giorgia graduated from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2013.  After her graduation, she worked in general practice and completed a rotating internship in Milan (Italy).

Giorgia then worked for four years in the Intensive Care Unit of a referral hospital in Bologna. Whilst working in ICU, she developed a particular interest in Anaesthesia and Analgesia.  In 2018, she moved to the UK to undertake an internship in small animal Analgesia and Anaesthesia at the Animal Health Trust (Newmarket).

In September 2019, Giorgia started the ECVAA residency – alternative program.  After working at the Animal Health Trust and the University of Liverpool for the first half of the program, Giorgia joined Willows in August 2021 where she will complete her residency.

Her areas of interest are anaesthesia for interventional cardiology, emergency, and critical care, and pain management.

In her free time, Giorgia likes spending time with her old-grumpy dog Willy Wonka and her cat Totò, cooking vegan cuisine, and travelling with friends.
