We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our medical oncology team in our specialist multi-disciplinary referral service. This is a permanent, full time position, ideally commencing in September 2019, although there is some flexibility regarding the start date.
The successful applicant will either hold or be eligible for an RCVS, European or American Diploma (or equivalent) and share our aim of providing the best possible levels of care for our patients, clients and referring veterinary surgeons.
We have an excellent team of highly skilled nursing and support staff who give our clinicians the opportunity to concentrate on their clinical caseload. Facilities include a dedicated chemotherapy room, superbly equipped intensive care unit run by an ECC specialist, and wards to accommodate over 100 hospitalised patients. In-patient care is a priority and includes 24 hour veterinary and nursing attention from dedicated nurses and experienced interns. Our GE imaging equipment, including 1.5T MRI, 16 slice CT and high-end ultrasound, is run by our team of on-site board certified imaging Specialists, providing unsurpassed diagnostic imaging support to all our clinicians.
Our oncology team, comprising medical and surgical Specialists, work closely with our other services including anaesthesia, imaging, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, orthopaedics and ECC.
Willows has employees 180 personnel, including over 50 veterinary surgeons. Our philosophy is very much one of friendly co-operation between all members of staff, creating a pleasant, supportive and good-humoured atmosphere. Willows holds the Investor in People award at the extended silver level.
