Surgical Nurse

At Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service we are continually expanding our Specialist services, we are now seeking a Surgical Veterinary Nurse to work within our multi-disciplinary, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital located in Shirley, West Midlands.
All newcomers to the nursing team are given a very warm welcome – any training which is required is fully structured and accompanied by a well-organised induction process, including mentoring by a nominated member of the nursing team.
The position:
The successful candidate would be working alongside our surgical team of registered nurses, veterinary care assistants and sterile service operatives to deliver gold standard veterinary care to our patients.
Main duties will include:
- Monitoring of anaesthesia alongside our specialist led anaesthesia team
- Clipping and preparing patients for surgery
- Preparation of the theatres for surgical procedures and assisting our sterile service operatives with maintaining our surgical kits.

Experience of working in a referral environment is not required as full support and training will be provided for the successful candidates.
Starting Salary £24,000
