Be part of one of the UK’s leading small animal veterinary centres!
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our Emergency and Critical Care team in Solihull’s stunning, purpose-built, state-of-the-art Veterinary Hospital. This role will provide a unique opportunity to work as an emergency clinician, provide emergency care for our local primary care practices, and work alongside the specialist-led ECC team to provide exceptional care to the sickest patients during the day.
You will work as part of a team including Emergency and Critical Care Specialists, other emergency vets and interns, veterinary nurses including dedicated ICU nurses, and veterinary care assistants. You will also work closely with other specialists across our multi-disciplinary team.
The position would ideally commence in autumn 2021. The successful applicant should have at least two years of post-graduate experience in small animal practice in the UK and share our values of providing the best possible levels of care. A postgraduate certificate would be advantageous but not essential. There will be ample support and great case exposure for those interested in enrolling on a certificate, or plenty of scope to develop your skills further if you already have a postgraduate qualification. Working time would be based on a one week on / one week off pattern, focusing on daytime and evening hours rather than overnight shifts, allowing plenty of time off and an outstanding work-life balance.
Willows is home to extensive surgical and diagnostic facilities with a superbly equipped Intensive Care Unit and wards, including a dedicated cat ward. In-patient care is a priority, with 24-hour care provided by our team of Interns, Nurses, and other Clinical Support staff. The practice is iCatCare accredited at Gold Level.
In joining Willows, you will have the opportunity to work alongside internationally renowned Specialists across our multidisciplinary team, including Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Oncology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Dermatology, Imaging, Anaesthesia, and Emergency and Critical Care.
The position will be well remunerated with a fantastic package including six weeks holiday plus generously funded time for CPD. Willows is proud to be accredited by Investors in People at the extended Silver level. We are dedicated to providing excellent working conditions, care and support for all of our 240+ personnel.
