An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated individual to join our Cardiology team in our Specialist multi-disciplinary referral centre. The position will ideally commence in early 2022; however, there is some flexibility with this date. The successful applicant will either hold or be eligible for an RCVS, American or European Diploma (or equivalent) and share our aim of providing excellent levels of care for our patients, clients and referring Veterinary Surgeons.
Willows’ Cardiology team, comprising three Cardiology Specialists, one Cardiology Clinician and three dedicated Cardiology Nurses, provides an exceptional Cardiology service. Our Cardiologists work together with our team of Specialists across 13 disciplines, including; Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Imaging, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Orthopaedics and ECC, to provide the best possible care for every patient.
Willows Cardiology team has exclusive use of dedicated GE Vivid E95 and Vivid IQ ultrasound machines with a full range of transthoracic and transoesophageal probes, and use of an interventional radiography operating theatre with a full carbon radiolucent operating table and access to two in-theatre image intensifiers (GE Fluorostar and Philips BV Pulsera). Performing the largest number of cardiac interventional procedures in the UK, Willows Specialist Cardiology team is exceptionally proud to deliver some of the very best clinical outcomes in the world.
We have some of the best facilities to be found in Specialist multi-disciplinary centres, including on-site top of the range Siemens 1.5T MRI and 64 slice CT. The facilities complement an excellent team of support staff who allow our clinicians to concentrate on their clinical caseload and work in a pleasant, supportive and good-humoured atmosphere.
The position will be well remunerated with a fantastic package including six weeks holiday plus two weeks allowance for funded CPD and one week for approved committee or examining commitments.
